I've made the determination that my desire to document this process is what has been hindering its conclusion more than anything. Thus, this will most likely be my final update for this project. Starting last night, I have began to move forward with minimizing the items in my household that I do not need or want. I expect that I will reach my intended goal for this 30-day project no later than tonight, and if necessary, I will proceed further.
Most items will or have been donated, and the remaining will or have been given away, sold, or thrown out.
This has been a great exercise, and I hope to continue minimizing my burden of material things in the future. Special thank you to The Minimalists for inspiring me to do this!

Catching Up - Soon February 21, 2017
Been a slightly crazier couple of days than I expected, but I will soon be taking the time to catch up on my all of my necessary minimizations. Stay tuned!
Day 10 February 12, 2017
Ten more items!
Several more items of clothing that I no longer wear or need.
Day 9 February 11, 2017
Nine more items!
A bunch of paperwork that is better off being recycled than sitting around in desk drawers.
Day 8 February 10, 2017
Eight more items!
Assortment of random items... Stack of old letterhead from when I was President of the Associated Students of Modesto Junior College, random empty box, picture-less picture frame, quesadilla maker (I love quesadillas, but never use this awkward contraption that was given to me), a second guitar that I don't use or know how to pay, and a couple other items.
Day 7 February 9, 2017
Eight more items!
Assortment of random items... Stack of old letterhead from when I was President of the Associated Students of Modesto Junior College, random empty box, picture-less picture frame, quesadilla maker (I love quesadillas, but never use this awkward contraption that was given to me), a second guitar that I don't use or know how to pay, and a couple other items.
Day 6 February 8, 2017
Six more items!
Novelty items... Absinthe bottle that has been empty for a long time, red John Lennon glasses, two Chinese soup spoons, a decorative knight, and some paperwork that is no longer needed.
Day 5 February 7, 2017
Five more items!
Random things that I don't need and don't want. Donated!
Day 4 February 6, 2017
Four more items!
Most notable in this batch, my coveted Keep Calm I'm The Doctor shirt. Time to admit that it doesn't fit me, and I never wear it as a result.
Day 3 February 5, 2017
Three more items!
I love the great experiences that I had when I was heavily involved in student government, and I very much so enjoy reminiscing about those great times, but now, having moved on, I have little use for the various merchandising items I've picked up over the years. These items, most of them still in great condition would be far more useful to someone else if donated. Thus, today I am choosing to donate my old padfolio from the Associated Students of Modesto Junior College along with two other items that I no longer have a need for.
Day 2 February 4, 2017
Two more items!
Donating a lamp that I do not like and, therefore, do not use. Additionally getting rid of some random paperwork that I have no need for anymore.
Day 1 February 3, 2017
The first item that I have chosen to minimize is a guitar that I've had for years, despite being able to play guitar.
Originally, I did intend to learn, but that obviously never happened.
One less item, and one step closer to my goal.
Explanation
The concept is simple enough. Day 1, eliminate one item that I don't need, want, or use. Day 2, eliminate two more items. Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, and so on, and so forth. By the end, I will have minimized my belongings by 465 items.
Starting soon I will begin daily postings of the different things that I have chosen to eliminate. These items will be sold, donated, given away, and in some rare instances thrown away.
