Committee Meeting Weekend

This weekend, September 6th - 7th, the Student Senate for California Community Colleges hosted a weekend of committee meetings facilitated via teleconference. It was a long weekend jumping from teleconference call to teleconference call. The meetings that I participated in are as follows:

• Committee Chair Coordination Meeting: We discussed the overall coordination of the committee meeting weekend. 
• General Assembly Planning Committee Meeting: We discussed the upcoming Fall General Assembly, and what needs to be done to make it a success. 
• Resolutions Committee Meeting: I have the honor of serving as Chair of this committee. We reviewed the Resolutions Procedures & Timeline for the upcoming Fall General Assembly. 
• Governance & Internal Policy Committee Meeting: I have the honor of serving as Vice Chair of the committee. We discussed our goals for the upcoming year, and the drafting of the Advisor's Role Digest.
• Rules Code of Conduct Taskforce Meeting: I have the honor of serving as Project Lead of this taskforce. We drafted a procedure for how the Student Senate Council will go about enforcing it's Code of Conduct. 
• Rules Committee Meeting: I have the honor of serving as Vice Chair of this committee. We reviewed the draft procedure for the enforcement of the Code of Conduct, and reviewed the proposal for the implementation of the Eternal Sunset resolution. 

A long, but very productive, and rewarding weekend!
