Civic Engagement Project
Since 2004, the Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project has been a joint venture between the Yosemite Community College District, Associated Students of Modesto Junior College, and the League of Women Voters of Modesto. The initiative is designed to bring together faculty, staff, students, and members of the community to develop a series of opportunities to educate and empower members of the Modesto Junior College and greater Modesto area community.
As part of the District's Educational Excellence Initiative and College's Mission Statement, the Civic Engagement Project will endeavor to promote responsible social stewardship as a primary value in higher education.

For several years Andrew served as the student member on the Executive Board and Film & Lecture Committee of the Civid Engagement Project. During that time, he also sought out a sizable donation from the Associated Student of Modesto Junior College to allow the Civic Engagement Project to continue their work unhendered by budget limitations.
